This past Wednesday Birch Meadow grade level teams worked together planning lessons, reviewing new educational resources, and discussing innovative ways to meet the needs of all students. This planning time allows for grade level consistency of curriculum topics and the time of year these skills will be taught. In addition to grade level team meetings, time is allocated for planning between grade levels (see the picture of grade 2 and 3 teachers from earlier in the year). Don't hesitate to ask your teachers about their new instructional materials (grammar, spelling, and comprehension) enhancing their instruction!
