An award ceremony was recently
held at the Reading Municipal Light Department for the 14 winners of the Annual
RMLD T-shirt Contest. A first, second and third place winner from each town and
two honorable mentions from Reading were selected in the contest that
encourages third and fourth graders to be more energy conscious and aware of
their own impact on the environment.
Reading winners included (front

Meadow School; Kate Shankland, 3rd place, Barrows School; Samantha
Brabeck, 1st place, Wood End School; and Smritha Srinivasan, Honorable Mention – Joshua Eaton School.
Joining in the congratulations are teachers, administrators and representatives
from the Reading Municipal Light Department.
