Birch Meadow Cares

Birch Meadow students participated in Birch Meadow Cares community projects. Students partnered between grades and created projects together helping others in need. The projects supported such organizations as The Reading Food Pantry, Birthday Wishes, Jimmy Fund, and the Heifer Foundation. Thank you to the teachers and school council who helped coordinate this great event.

Read Across America

Read Across America was a great success this year. Thank you to the many parents, students, and staff who supported the program. The conclusion on March 2 included a whole school flash mob. Grades 3-5 meet Author Steven Krasner

Students in grades 3-5 met Steven Krasner last week. Steven is a children's author and retired sports writer.
"He sparks the students' imaginations and skills while reinforcing the mission to teach the writing process through the collaborative creation of basic stories, mysteries, tall tales, video magazine scripts, myths and chapter books of cliff-hangers!"

Blue Ribbon Schools facebook includes Birch Meadow staff

Birch Meadow teachers can be seen on the Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence Facebook page. You can see Mr. Sprung and teachers presenting. We are currently beginning preperations to be a host site at the Blue Ribbon Conference in April.
